The Endowment supports educational programs focused on attracting young people to the industry, and educational endeavors to identify and solve industry needs and/or challenges. AFE offers floriculture scholarship and paid internship scholarship programs to assist students interested in the floriculture/horticulture profession.

The Programs Are Divided Into Three Major Areas:

General Educational Grants that are national in scope.

• Educational Grants - grants awarded to fund educational programs promoting the floriculture industry. The majority of the programs are wide-reaching and focus on attracting young people to the industry or educational endeavors to identify and solve industry needs and/or challenges.
  
  
• James and Helen Phillip Scholarship Grant - a grant given annually to institutions having an accreditted one-, two-, or four year program to provide tuition assistance to students training in retail floral design and operations.
